The long way back to myself

I spent years helping others turn ideas into systems that worked. Meanwhile, I was learning how to create a life that worked for me. This is how those two things became one practice.

Hi, I’m Markus

Yoga Teacher, Space Holder & Digital Strategist

I work with people and wellness businesses in two very different spaces: personal practice and digital systems. Through yoga and space holding, I create room to slow down, reconnect and find clarity through presence. Through digital strategy and systems, I help wellness practitioners turn ideas into something clear, useful and workable.

My approach

My work has the same foundation: meeting you where you are, creating structure where it is needed and keeping things simple and clear. I understand both sides because I live both worlds myself, from digital projects and systems to yoga, wellness and facilitation.

01 · The corporate years

I had outgrown a version of myself.

For more than eight years I worked in German corporate digital, a project manager and product owner shipping user-facing websites, platforms and the planning behind them. I was good at it: operations, strategy, keeping complicated things moving. What I could not do, in the long run, was tap into my own needs and desires. I had outgrown a version of myself, and I started to understand that when my life flipped upside down from one day to the next.

Koh Phangan was not a plan.

Koh Phangan was not a plan. Five years ago a long bicycle journey through Southeast Asia, nine months on back roads through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, landed me here without any knowing or intention. My yoga mat was one of the few things I carried, and it led me straight to the yoga community on the island. It was the first place I had seen people genuinely live and co-create on every level: relationships, work, themselves. I came back to build a life here, and today I teach on the island and co-manage the digital side and guest experience at Blessings, a home, yoga hostel and vegan cafe.

03 · Becoming a space holder

A space where people can stop performing.

In 2023 I trained on Koh Phangan at Wonderland Healing Center, a 200-hour multi-style Hatha teacher training. I started to tap into a version of me I had always carried inside but was barely aware of: holding space where people can stop performing, and trusting them to find their own way inside it. Four years on, I share my practice several times a week with people from all over the world, in group classes and private sessions. Why do I love it? The spark I feel in the hearts and see in the eyes of people after the spaces I create.

04 · Bringing both worlds together

That combination is the whole point.

Eventually I found myself on the other side of the spectrum: teaching yoga, holding space and working alongside wellness practitioners and small businesses. I kept noticing how many people doing meaningful work were carrying a digital world they never wanted to become experts in: websites, bookings, content, automation, AI, customer journeys. Today I bring my digital background into the wellness world, helping teachers, coaches, retreat leaders, studios and villas work with more clarity and less noise. I know the digital side, and I know the world you're working in. That combination is the whole point.

How I work

Meet you where you are

I don’t start with where you should be. I start with where you are, what you need and what matters to you.

Make things clearer

Whether we’re working with the body, a life transition or a business, I like to untangle things, find what matters and make the next step really only one step away.

Keep it simple

Good work doesn’t need to feel complicated. I look for the simplest structure, practice or solution that actually works for you.
